Spring in New York

Spring in New York is the unicorn season.  There are a few precious, glorious days peppered in between freezing temperatures and the brutal heat and sweat of summer where the stars align and everyone in the city seems a little happier.

With spring in the air, take full advantage with an amazing outfit!  I always find season transitions hard to plan for.  Some tips:  1) Layers!  It may be 40s during the morning commute but 70s by the time you leave your office for lunch.  2) Hold off on the mini skirts with no tights for just a little longer.  It's not THAT warm, plus your legs need a good shaving and some sunlight before showing them off. 3) Find some season-agnostic, transitional pieces that work for both chilly morning and warmer midday temperatures.  No need to unpack all of the summer rompers and halter tops just yet.

Here are a couple spring outfits from my closet.

This Thursday was one of those amazing New York spring days--high of 72 and gloriously sunny!  Here's how I took full advantage:

Outfit breakdown:

  • Navy blazer:  H&M
  • Striped T-shirt:  H&M
