I Can’t Stop Buying White Shoes

I’m a shoe gal. I buy a lot of shoes. I just realized that my last FOUR shoe purchases have been white. This is quite the departure from my affinity to colorful, loud, statement footwear that can be paired with neutrals to show off the shoe. I’m now leaning in quite the opposite way. A white shoe is a crisp, clean canvas to allow the outfit to shine as brightly as I like.

Loeffler Randall Kassidy Kitten Heel Bootie

A little over a year ago I was going back and forth on investing in a pair of white booties because I thought it was an impractical purchase and a passing trend. Here I am investing in a new pair! Here’s how I’m justifying these beauties: A white bootie can we worn well into the spring and summer and they provide great cover for my hyperhidrosis. The kitten heel on this particular pair are more walkable than my other pair. I took them to the shoemaker for a leather protector and soles to ensure they last.

Vans Unisex Old Skool Lace-Up Sneakers in White Suede and Canvas

I’ve been looking to add another pair of Vans to my sneaker collection and this pair was perfect. The white suede adds a bit of fanciness and mixes well with the canvas. I plan to pair these with plenty of dresses and skirts in any and all colors.

Sam Edelman Loraine Loafers in White Leather

These fill the need of something walkable but also a little fancier than white sneakers. By pairing them with any outfit, I immediately get springy vibes. I’ve found my new weekend shoe!

Steve Madden Women's Cadence Heeled Sandal

These were an impulse purchase! They showed up in one of those Instagram ads and I couldn’t resist how cute they are and how much wear I can get out of them this summer. They will look great with jeans, dresses and anything in between all summer long.
